How to Make a Strong Password
1. Length Matters
Aim for a password that is at least 12 characters long. The longer your password, the harder it is to crack.
2. Use a Mix of Character Types
Include Uppercase Letters: A-Z
Include Lowercase Letters: a-z
Include Numbers: 0-9
Include Special Characters: !@#$%^&*()_+-=[]{}|;:',.<>?/
3. Avoid Common Words and Phrases
Avoid using easily guessable information such as your name, common words, keyboard patterns (e.g., "qwerty"), or easily obtained details like your birthdate.
4. Use a Passphrase
Combine unrelated words into a passphrase. For example, "RedHorse!Sky@9Tree". Passphrases are easier to remember and still very secure.
5. Don’t Reuse Passwords
Use a unique password for each of your accounts. This way, if one password is compromised, your other accounts remain secure.
